This has been one of the craziest weeks. I started the week with a heavy heart and much stress over all the uncertainties over my job, child care, Sydney's school, the boys' class assignments and schedules, etc. On top of all this worrying, this has been one of the busiest weeks with work in a long time. All that, and the added stress of things to do/wrap up before we start our vacation in 2 days! As we progressed through the week, each of my "problems" were lifted away. If this isn't a sign of God's providence, I don't know what is. Yes, it was a crazy ride...but in the end, I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. My job issue and child care is pretty much resolved. We've signed Sydney up for a 5-day pre-k program at the same school she would have attended part-time. Just confirmed Evan will be in the morning kinder class. Secured Vicky (our former nanny) to help us with child care when school starts until I transition to my part-time schedule (yay!!!). Finally...did I mention we're going on vacation in TWO days?!!!! :)
We are disappointed that the school has eliminated the program for gifted students for 3rd grade due to budget woes. It's so sad that the kids/education needs to suffer due to people who can't balance a budget...but it is what it is. I'm so happy/excited with our decision and the direction we're headed as a family.
